Dedicated forum for OPL in allaboutopl

Is it possible to set up a dedicated forum for OPL programming under allaboutopl.com? Something like www.allaboutopl.com/forum

Since allaboutopl is about OPL and it's documentation, it would make sense to me to have a dedicated OPL forum there as well, not only for Symbian but also for earlier versions (like Sibo, ER5).

I've been toying with this idea for a long time. As an example of what it could look like I set up something as a test at freeboards here).

Any thoughts?

Yes that sounds like it could be a good idea. Indeed the whole of allaboutopl.com could do with some work. Doing some more OPL evangelism from it.

Arjen - would you be willing to help with the admin duties?

I guess either a vBulletin license or one of the free BB systems. Thoughts?

Sorry for the long delay in replying. I've been on a short vacation.

Of course I'd be willing to help with the admin duties.

I think a vBulletin license would be nice (just let me know what it costs) and a similar board layout as this one. Alternatively PhBB (which is free) would be a good choice, but that would break the similarity in forums between allaboutopl and allaboutsymbian (don't know if that's a big issue).

Can you let me know what I would take to set this up and how I can help?

I'd recommend against PhPBB, I've a friend who ran one and had constant complaints with how often he had to "upgrade" with bugfixes. Something like VBulletin or Invision Power Board would be easier to administer in the long run.
