Hello, i have nokia 3230 and i have a problem which i find very annoying. When somebody calls me it beeps and only then after like second and a half it starts ringing. How do i make it ring straight away?
I also heard that some other 3230 users have the same problem.

It's Off Topic, but how often with average usage do you charge the battery in this phone?
Well i havent really had it for that long, and all the time i had it i was really hard using it. But id say with my average use then every second day, but it charges pretty fast comparing to my one year old 6600.
mine beeps first then rings - same as on a text message... I don't have a problem with it tbh as it does alert you fairly well.

Mine is just the same and it is really annoying, but I don't think anything can be done without a software upgrade. What is weird is that the 3230 has this beep when none of the other Series 60 phones has it.
Went to the service. They said the problem should be fixed with a new software update, which should be coming in a few weeks.
My version is V 3.9505.2 , it is the lastest one even though it is the first one cuz the phone is brand new.
But maybe nokia made this beeping on purpose, maybe its better for some ppl. In that case i think the beeping should be set manually.

Mine is brand new also and yup! it beeps everytime there's a call or sms.

guys i hope you foundd it out , it's pretty obvious
in the mode like general or silence there is an option like
beep on or sumting , you can disable it
it worked just fine for me

Hi, I have this problem with ringing too. But I have bigger problem with PTT. Preinstalled PTT funktion is not able to add new PTT group. I fill out all four
(three without thumbnail) items and press "Done" and nothing happens. With Nokia 6600 is no problem (in N6600 case is PTT extra applicaton). And I can�t receive group invitations (special SMSs�), it writes: "unable to open group invitation". Talking via PTT "one to one" is ok. So that is no problem of setting
or provider (GSM). It seem to be in software. Is possible to load PTT Symbian application like in cese of N6600? Can anybody help me or confirm this problem?
