Hi all,
I just installed a kingmax 1G mmc card into a 6620. For some reason the card is no longer readable in an external mmc reader after being used in the phone. Is this because of the way the phone formats the card? I guess the card is not formatted as fat32/ntfs?
My main concern is transferring large files from a PC to the phone. I thought using a card reader would save me from using bluetooth or the dongle cable... :frown:
Should you be able to read an MMC card from a 6600/6620 with a card reader?
I am such a genius 🙄
A password was set on the memory card, that's why it couldnt be read by an external reader....live an learn... 😉
BTW, its so much faster transferring files with a reader :icon14: :icon14: :icon14:
Still, its a lot easier (in my opinion at least) to use bluetooth for anything but media files. Stupid Nokia putting the MMC slot behind the battery... and why couldn't it be an SD slot.... SD cards are so much cheaper...

It would have made so much more sense to use an SD.
DAMN, Nokia! 😊
Why MMC? Simple. MMC uses less power, so its better for battery life, but i wouldn't say its THAT much of a difference, and would still prefer SD, for the fact that its available basically everywhere, even supermarkets. Trying to find a decently priced MMC, besides on eBay and a few online vendors is virtually impossible
