Unable to download from web using WLan

Hello everyone - new member here.

I am going mad because I have recently bought a Nokia 9500 communicator but am unable to use the broadband connection we have in our house to surf the web. The phone recognises the connection obtained using the linksys device (it is a modem/router) and I get the W in the top left of the screen with the message 'Connected'. However, when I try to download a web page I get this message:

Internet:
Could not find specified Internet server.

I don't know if I have a setting wrong on the phone or if it's a problem with the linksys or with my internet service provider. The fact is I am way out of my depth and could really do with some help.

I know the wireless broadband is working since I can successfully surf the web using a laptop we have.

Grateful for any help.

Thanks for advice - I tried manually inputting the DNS server codes but it didn't work. Do you think that I need to amend Proxy server settings? Currently 'use proxy server' is set to 'No'.

are you using web key or no? If so I would say that after you create the access point enter in all 4 keys for the WEP incription not the pass code but the key that is actually generated. Next trying turning the phone off taking the battery out and putting it back in 9 times out of 10 in the last three days of messing arround with my unit and WiFi especially with WEP enabled this fixed the problem if this does not work try and see if you can connect without wep if you can make sure that when you put the key in that your using capitals and the its in HEX not ASCII hope this helps g/luck
