when i get an incoming call people on the other end cannot hear me, i can hear my self as an echo, also i can hear them loud and clear, songs ringtones messages and loudspeaker all work fine, no sound on pinball, i have re flashed the phone and cleared memory so its back to a basic phone still people not hearing me, had nothing but probs with this phone, so hubby has it, nice if it all worked though

I think you've got the good old mic problem. Basically the design of the mic connector isn't as good as it could be and dust can get between the mic and the motherboard, which then stops the mic working.

The solution to this in the first instance is to loosen and re-tighten the four T6 screws under the battery. If this makes no difference, loosen the screws again (take them out if you want) then blow up the small hole to the left of the phone's data connector, near to the back of the phone. This is where the mic is, and by blowing in there, you should be able to shift any dust that's sitting on the mic.

If you're still having problems, PM me and I'll tell you how to completely dismantle the phone to clean it. But be aware - THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

Before you do that, check that the headset icon isn't lit up in the top row (if you've been using it for handsfree/music etc)

Mine did the same thing recently, and just before I sent it back I noticed the icon - the phone was still thinking the headset was connected so bypassed the speaker and mic.... bit of wiggling around with the handset jack and it freed up and worked fine again.

Edit: read your post more carefully and this probably doesn't add up after all - worth checking though before getting the screwdriver out...
