Hi there,

im trying to connect my 9500 wifi to my router at home which is using a 64 bit wep. My 9500 however only allows for 40, 104 and 232 bits?

Any advise?

Thx

Swen

but the 64 bit key is longer than the 40 bit one. how to key it in?

Just key in the 64bit key. 64bit is actually 40bit + 26 control bits (or something like that - read it somewhere but cannot find it anymore).

mmm...64-bit = 24-bit init string + 40 bit private key

page 64 of the UK manual:
"WEP keys consist of a secret key and a 24-bit initialisation vector. For example, some manufacturers refer the 104-bit key as 128-bit key (104+24). Both keys offer the same level of encryption and are therefore interoperable."

This certainly works with my router/N9500
