6680 delete all my pictures

I've not had any problems with mine.
You sure you did not delete them yourself when using lifeblog, when you transfer to your PC it will remove them from the phone too, catches out quite a lot of people first time round..

What other bugs have you found, I can't say I've found any so far.

i�m sure of that. Here in Portugal, i know of some others equals bugs on 6680, like that of pictures deleted by the phone.

I don�t delete the pictures, and i don�t use lifeblog

You are right i also find that my all images which are in Images Folder got deleted.
Once i posted a Thread but i got no replies.
Although i found the solution
Please Give your MMC Some Space like if u are using 64 Mb card then don't go beyond 55Mb.
If ur MMc is Full and still you go on capturing the Images then the Image go Croupt and got Deleted.
Its Happend to me once and that images were lot to me that i Spend 20$ on a Software for Recovering Files.
You can download any software from www.download.com if a Demo will find a solution for you.
all you need is a Card Reader and Software.

did you tried any format of the MMC?
because, i formated my MMC today afternoon, and i�ve got 15 pictures, some music, etc, and i�ve got only 1500Kb free. And i�m still trying force any error, and now...all it seems to work just fine. Maybe just a little a time, no?
I have only 1 day to take back my phone to the store, and i don�t know what to do. If i still have it, and wait for a firwmare update, or return the phone to the store.
BTW, do you when it�s available any new firmware?

i have my 6680 for about 3 weeks now and i havent encounter that bug or problem, but what i have encountered is that it hangs and when i turn it off then on all my messages gets deleted... i use the memory card for saving messages too. well can anyone give me an idea how to fix it? thanks!

is the 6680 all that you thought it would be, does the video share work ok and push to talk, and is anyone else got one simfree, where everthing works

Mine was bought sim free, and so far no problems.
Can't test video sharing, video calling or Push To Talk as T-Mobile don't support it 😞

Everything else is working sweet, pictbridge is really handy for printing without transfering the images to the PC or taking the MMC out.

i had this problem while I was copying images to laptop via bluetooth. and i am thinking about taking it to the dealer to make any nesseccary firmware upgrades.

My phone has done the exact same thing twice now!!!! 😞

Every time it was when receiving a text message, I tried opening it, and the phones goes "the memory card is not avail, messages will be stored in the phone mem". then it deletes all messages and pictures..... 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞

I got this once, when my MMC card wasn't inserted properly, try to see if that is the problem

It was working properly, only when getting a text msg it did this... Now i formatted it using 7370 and reinserted mmc card... I think the solution will be me taking it back to the shop, I cant live with this...

Well the reason for that ERROR is the MMC doesnt eject properly.
Did u restart your phone?
If so, you probably didnt close all the applications properly, and when restarted your phone while the MMC was in USE, thus everything got erased.

eg. If you wanna remove the MMC while the phone is on, once you open the flap, you'd see that on the screen it says "Closing all Applications", so that it can be removed safely.

Its exactly like the USB Flash disk/drives. 😉

I have no idea what you are referring to.

I formatted the phone, then I turned it off, took out the mmc card and reinserted it, restarted phone, formatted mmc card, still - same issues....
I took it to nokia care center today, they have already received a couple of 6680's with this error, they will replace it for me, no charge...

All my pictures were all deleted from the MMC card!
My card was also near full. I think there's an indexation bug because the pictures are still there if I see the card through a reader.
Tha't a pitty a so nice fun with such a problem.

never had this problem, i had the messages problem but only because i copied the old msgs from my old phones mmc to the new one and then something happened dont rememmber. but i deleted them copied them again and havent had a problem since. i didnt use the software to transfer the messages thats why probably but nothing else

i have one sim free and mine is also faulty.....

the icons in images sometimes have cracks through them (see attached pic) and when you press exit it deletes them all.......

also i sent a message and it froze on sending message screen and when i rebooted phone all messages were gone.............

went to cpwh and got my card swapped today and moved a few files to different folders, switched phone off then on and files were back in original folders even though after moving files i deleted the original folders..................

got me stuffed...........?????????

just waiting to see if it still deletes stuff............if it does i'll update.........
