Sending Faxes on 9500 and 9300

I have a 9500 and a 9300, SIMs are from different carriers (Cingular and T-Mobile in the US), but on neither device can I send faxes. They both try and retry and then come up as failed. When they are trying I do see a dialog that says

"Problem with fax transfer Could not connect to the fax machine"

I have tried sending to different fax numbers and get the same error.

Any ideas?

Sometimes it's frustrating when people do not respond to threads. I don't have an answer for you, but I am experiencing the same problem with my 9500 using T-mobile in the US. It says it's going through and even rings to the fax machine, but does not connect.

Got a little worried about this post, so I just tried to send a Fax from my own 9500. I selected a document from Word, select "File-Send via Fax". Although I didn't hear anything, Messaging still sent the Fax immediately (you can see if that a Fax call is being made by an "F" that is displayed in the status area.

Since I'm in currently in China and not in the US, the US networks may be the problem (different network). Has anyone else in the US been able to send faxes using a 9300/9500 successfully?

Im in the UK, and can send faxes ok. I did however need to call and activate the fax profile to be added to my account.

When sending the fax there is no noise given, but if you watch in the outbox it shows the status e.g. calling, sending p1 of p2, sent etc...

Recv' a fax gives a ring when it comes in and also offers the option to reject, you cant however accept it, you just need to let it ring and the phone automatically accepts it after about 5-6 rings.

Note, if you go with T-mobile and you want fax to work, you need to ahve the CSD option activated for an extra 9.99 a month.

I have Tmobile USA, I have tried this with CSD activated $10/ month, T-zones pro $10/ mo, tmobile internet $20/mo... it still doesn't work.
