hi there..i would like to ask about agile messenger..ok,i'm going to be charge if i use the agile messenger rite?i mean gprs charge...my telco's gprs rates is pay per use rate..(pay only for the data transfered)..if i use agile messenger, would i be charge for the data transfered?if i leave it on,will i be charge for the gprs usage?pls help me..thx..i really need to understand bout this prob be4 using it... =)

You will be charged for any data it transfers as GPRS data, so unless you have a data plan it will probably get too expensive if you really use it.

u mean if i leave it on,afk or busy status,it will charge me?huu..this is what my telco service stated on its website..

2. Affordable services
You will not be charged for idle WAP sessions. You only pay for the kilobytes you download via GPRS.

if i leave my agile messenger to afk,or leave it on,i will be on idle wap session right?hu..so confusing..

Well,we have the same system in Norway.. You pay for the data transferred, and that means ALL data transferred..
When you have Agile messenger open and connected, you have to keep in mind that even though you do NOT send a message to people, all events like people sending messages to you, when they log on/off, when they just change their status, all of this makes data flow through your phone's GPRS.. This amount of data is of course limited in size, but it's still ticking.. You can easily see this if you log on to agile, check the transfer counter statement, then leave it on for an hour or so ,and check again.. the transferred data amount will be higher, but not much..
I don't know how expencive 1 MB is thereat your place, but for us in Norway, there is no danger in leaving it open.. I will not notice that on my bill..

Regular WAP services are much more simple than Agile.. In WAP,you download a page and then nothing else is downloaded unless you request a new page..Agile has a lot more functions implemented and it takes it's freedom in using the GPRS as it pleases, after you log on.

I hope this helped..

Cheers

I have an unlimited account so I can leave it open..

I recommend this..
