you can also do something like this using a combination of ms powerpoint and paint (also come with windows). write the text in power point, make it smaller there by adjusting the font size, copy that and past to paint. before you paste make sure you have resize the image size to 97 x 25. after pasting just do the necessary adjustement.
here's a sample.

yeah, i know.. i also have photoshop to do grafics, but i like that kylie-writing, looking like an ekg...
and to do that with handwork is a lot of work.. and im no grafic pro...
