Can I use a 256mb MMC with my 3660? Yesterday I went to a phoneshop
and I said that I want to buy a 256MB MMC , the man said : for which phone?
I said Nokia 3660 but the man told me : Buy a 128MB one 256mb wouldn't work well. WHY??? Is the RAM not enough for it? I don't think that the processor is weak. What is the max. amount of memory that I can use?[/FONT]
Nokia 3660 with 256MB MMC ?
I doubt that a 256 MB MMC won't work in a 3660, as the N-Gage is essentially the same thing in a different casing (OK so it has more RAM as well) and I'm pretty sure the N-Gage will take any size card you put in it. I don't think RAM will affect how much memory it can use for storage. I think he's just going by the spec sheet, but those typically don't include future products, i.e. my Zodiac1 was advertised to have compatibility with 256 MB SD cards, but works with anything people have tried with it-just the larger sizes weren't available at the time it was established. If you're unsure, see if you can try one out from a friend, you just need to try it for a few minutes.
I have nokia 3650, version of firmware 2.5 and mmc 256 mb from kingston.. today i bought another 1, also 256 mb, but from digitex, this s not well known brand.. Both of them work perfectly; i watch movies, listen mp3, got many games installed..
So, if u have a chance, buy and dont doubt! I guess versions of firmvare beginning from 4.x support also 512 metres, but im not sure. But 256 on 100% 😊
I have a 512M MMC card in my 3650. works great, Nokia tech support says they only support 64M or something, but that he had heard of people with 1G cards working fine. I love my 3650!
