Hi Stu
what was the firmware that wasn't released, was it the vodafone build.

Let me know if this fixes the problem for you.

Just the job, thanks - sorry for so long getting back to you.

No, it was a Danish release firmware, with English, French, Spannish & German languages.

I've noticed a big improvement in the video frame rate with this update when playing back videos taken with the camcorder.

Previously it was really bad and stuttery, but it's a lot smoother now, so that's cool 😊

Interestingly, the battery charging seems to be flawed on my unit, now that the firmware's updated. It says it's fully charged (it is), but then after a few minutes it complains that the battery is almost empty!

Anyone else seeing this?

Steve

Hi all

it seems Sendo has decided to free the last Firmware version 😞

Anyway...does someone saw the spanish release?

I have downloaded the europea-be without success

Id like to give best wishes to all Sendo people that comes to this forum from time to time

CU!

Hmm. What version were you using eXpansys or vodafone?

doesnt work

any idea of what can I do?

Thanks !!

Usually, mobile phones operators have a page on their Web Site where all those settings are. Some operators even have an OTA config service where you just select your phone model and make, give your phone number and receive the settings via a special text message. I know that Virgin Mobile in the UK offers this service for free and they are even listing the Sendo X in their handset list 😊 So have a look at the movistar Web Site. And remember that with the new firmware, GPRS doesn't work yet.

Hello morph,

You can use nokia's site to send the configuration sms to your phone:

https://nokiags.wdsglobal.com/advanced?siteLanguageId=118

Just choose your phone as a 7650 or a 3650, choose your network and phone number, and you'll receive the msgs on your phone. I think Sendo probably used the same provider in its site to get the configuration to users.

To the Sendo devs here: is there any bit of hope to get the gprs bug fixed? I know you will probably not be able to release another firmware version, but maybe release a binary diff to the current firmware that we could use to patch it? :wishful thinking: 😊

Steve, it's a known bug (but doesn't occur on every handset) - I'll give you more info as I find it out.

seems like sendo have removed the new firmware from the server, or maybe they are about the upload a new firmware with the gprs bug fixed

I suspect they're preparing to upload a new version to their site.

The existing versions are all available at www.sendosmartphones.com, but please remember that these versions currently contain the GPRS bug. (we'll update them as soon as we receive new ones from Sendo)
