Hi,
Apologize if this questions has been asked or answered before but I browsed and got no luck to find it unless I overlooked it 😞
Please guide me on how to add a simple graphic into 7650's default Picture Message Folder.
I have the grahics (.gif) saved in my PC, tried sending it to the phone via infrared but everytime I will save it, it just simply save in "Images" and no option to save or move it to the default Picture Message Folder 😞
Add-on question (hope u don't mind) - Is there any software or program that will let me send a blinking simple text messages using 7650? I have logomanager but it doesn't support 7250 (or it's 7650 who doesn't support logomanager :P )
Thank you in advance.
Well, once more, I have explained a way to do that HERE. 😊
As for the second question, according to another recent post, this is not yet possible but such software is under development.
Thank you for help 😃
Now I know.... I need to save them in .otb format
Regarding sending blinking message with Nokia 7650, 😃 it's nice to know that it's on its way....
Again thank you for the help and quick response
how do I convert/rename from .otb to .ota before sending via IR or BT?
I just followed Petrans' instruction and i'm glad to have more pictures in my phone in Picture message folder 😊
how do I convert/rename from .otb to .ota before sending via IR or BT?
right-click on the filename of your graphic (exaple picture.otb) click rename then type picture.ota
Windows will inform you that if you change it might not be view or something like that.. just select yes.. and you are ready to transfer the image to your phone using Infrared or b/t
again, I thank Petra for the help 😊
How about sending the picture message from 7650 to PC?

I'm using Nokia PC Suite to transfer images from 7650 to PC.. give it a try
But if you are asking for a picture message with .ota file extensions, Petran suggested to use an application like eFilemanager or SeleQ

Tried what you said but it doesn't seem to work. What happens is, the renamed file becomes "Picture.ota.otb" phone still cannot recognize it.
Am using WinXP, do you think there is some special setting that'll allow me to rename the file extension?

No, you are doing it wrongly 😞 it should be like this:
when you saved the graphics as .otb format using Logomanager, it will appear as "picture.odb" right? then look for that file picture.odb then right-click it, select rename, then type picture.ota only NOT picture.ota.otb
I'm also using windows xp and I don't think OS type or version has something to do with this. Just rename it the file extension as .ota
Again, .OTA only 😊 try again ok?

Really tried. I right click on the file in the folder it's saved in and rename it as .ota (without the .otb) but after renaming, it automatically sets it to .ota.otb.
Help
That's strange 😞
When you tried to rename or change the file extension from .otb to .ota did Windows gave you a warning?
where do you save your graphics? I'm not sure if the store location is concern with this issue of yours, but let's try to figure it out.
when you right-click on the filename, click Rename, hit "End" key in your keyboard then the cursor will of course go at the end of the filename. hit backspace 3 times then type ota
let's see

I found the problem!!!! my folder options were set to hide the file extensions of my files. thus when I rename, I only get to rename the file name and the extension remains the same. Thanks so much for your help!!!!
whew! good thing you able to find out the "cause"
😊
Glad I could help. 😊
You are welcome daniatt..
Has anyone tried Logoshaper? I tried using it but it won't work on my network. Would you guys know of any other program like it?
