I'm very p***** off, having just paid $10 for Doom7650, it becomes freeware... I only bought it for the promised bluetooth multiplayer mode, which now looks as if it won't see the light of day; the game has been removed from www.wildpalm.co.uk
At least anyone who was considering buying it now gets it for free. 😊

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😞 i havn't downloaded it!!!
Which version are you talking about omar? Doom7650 v1.2 ?
I have 1.2 I think... does it have bluetooth multiplayer support? 😮
Thats sommin that sounds interesting... when did they say they were going to do that... {sorry if I sound ignorant... you probably had discussions about this before... but im a newbie :P}

I don't think there was much take up with Doom on the 7650, the actual game was freeware anyway, the add-on pack was the bit you had to buy and that didn't have Muliplayer or BT support anyway, although they were planning it for future releases.
They may have dropped it as people couldn't fit it on to thier phones.
I only had it installed for a few days and took it off as it really was too big.
I have seen the screen shots they look impressive... Im a massive doom fan.. ive even got midi files from the Game that I ripped ages ago... {in the days of my 486 😃 }
What is the speed like on the game on your 7650? Is it playable?
Do u think anyone will continue such a project?

Yeah it's Doom7650 v1.2
Its basicly the same thing that they were selling for $10 a week ago. It adds landscape, better graphics (I couldnt see a difference) and umm... oh yeah, start on any level and additional game modes, chainsaw masacre etc.
You can odwnload it from www.my-symbian.info
You may already have it Bob.
Like J said, bluetooth was due to be implimented but never was. I only bought it because bluetooth multiplayer sounded great, i've got 5 work mates with 7650's so it would have been brill. 😞
Yes it's very playable, if you used to play the first on your x486 then you will pick it up straight away, its the same levels and the same "baddies" in the same places.
It runs really smoothly too!
I doubt if anyone else will pick this project up, but if Wildpalm have ditched it they will have lots of angry people to answer to.
In an email I got from them a few months ago, they said that there were no plans to make the game smaller and it would be fine for the 3650, so maybe they will pick it back up then?
Maybe an email to Wildpalm wouldn't be a bad idea?

:robot: IZZO.

Wouldn't be a bad idea at all

Is that a hint, or are you going to send them one?
I emailed them before posting this thread but I didnt ask much, just whether they'd stopped production on it.
Let us know the reply!
If you have no luck i'll bombard them with a hugh email 😉
Not a very nice atitude towards costumers by WildPalm,if not a refund,they at least could provide Doom buyers with a free copy of one of theirs best selling apps.
WildPalm arn't all that bad after all! They replied to my email pretty quickly and explained the freeware / removal of Doom 7650...
No - development is still going ahead, but we are negotiating the release
of the full version of Doom and Doom 2 (not just the shareware version).
While this is proceeding, we have been asked not to advertise the shareware
version.WildPalm Info
