Imagine for one time, nokia listening to customers, and making a custom (user defined) firmware. My idea is,deleting some unwanted apps like snake, mixpix etc etc, deleting unwanted languages and in the free rom space installing frequent used apps like t-mobile video messaging, some games, maybe even the new opera release for series 60.
Anyway,this is just an idea.
Lucid Dream
A great idea, but one that's very unlikely to happen
For such a dream, i'd sleep longer
Its too much of a dream to be true :-?
why can't we delete those games and langs ?!?
Because they are kept on the 15mb Rom.
You are too quick Jizzo. I was still typing the reply out 😃
Mod's have a speed reply button 😉
Oh. Now i see why!! You are 2 away from 900
Oh yeah!! 900 AND the speed button. Now i know 😉
PS: Just edited. Dint want to take up extra space with a new post.
Just wanted to ... "Congrats..... on ur 900th" Keep the good thing going
I'm just keeping it real 😮
(man, i gotta hack and get a cheat button.. I can't stay like this forever!! I'm still 15!! Have mercy!)

Hmm.. speed reply button.. cool! can i have one too? i always replies too slow.. heh 😮ops:
some1 should find a solution to the problem and delete stuff from the 15mb...
Even if u could somehow manage to delete it, would wouldnt be able to write anything on it anyway. Its more like firmware than rewritable memory. That region of memory/ space is inaccessible for modification hence unreclaimable.
shit ... is there a way to add more xsable memory to n7650 ? ?
Unfortunately Not!! Its design limitation (like the chips used, lack of ports etc.. more like hardware which cant be helped much). Too Bad :x
maybe like a lil cube u cary around that will contact the phone via bluetooth... 😃
Yeah. That seems the only option available as of now. Infact, there was a post around here describing the use of a old handheld as spare storage space over bluetooth. You might want to search the forum for details, but its pretty straight forward. Two devices with BT > Paired> one with larger memory used as storage 😊
I think toshiba were developing something like that,5GB bluetooth hdd
Anything in that range would make a great mp3/ video tank :multi: . We're now only short of an application that would stream the files over Bluetooth from the storage to the phone.
(Hope that protocol is supported  )
This is one application many of us have been looking forward to.
zZzZzZZZz...
Oh My God the phone is finally here!!
Thankyou mobilerepublic.co.uk!
Oh its soo cool... Its excellent... Ive just installed Doom... !!
7650 rocks!! Ive got the Bluetooth DLT-120 D-Link Dongle!
Wait a sec... it has 9.7MB of ram !!!!!!!!!!!!
The Oplayer software is built in and it allows for HSCSD streaming..
Im watching CNN right now!!! Oh my god... theres even a USB port..
the camera is high qaulity and there is a built in app called Nokia VX which stands for VideoX {recording and playing 1 minute of full motion video}.. I need to show you the picture quality it aint too much improved but its better then the Hantro software!
this MUST be the 7650i they probably went out of stock of the 7650 and accidentally given me the 7650i... THis is awsome....
The OS version is 3.24b {i think b standards for beta - must be a beta testing model}
I must remember to take screenshots and stuff from the phone and take some videos and put them onto the site... and rip the software for u ppl....
... then I woke up
Restrictions even in a Dream!!! 😮
Only one min Video? Only slightly better quality? Only 9.7 Mb ??
DREAM BIG!!!
Me tried I dont have a vivid enuf imagination... I dont even OWN a Nokia 7650!!
Must smoke d*pe... it might make dreams better so I feel like --> 😃
{btw.. I swear the "lol" smiley on this site looks like my friend after he's walked around Brixton for about an hour (brixton, London = drug capital of UK)}
{disclaimer: "Dope and any other forms of Drugs are bad and are band substances... dont be a fool... stay away from drugs and G.W.Bush"}

I think that the bluetooth data protocol would not be the problem, the problem would be in the processor i guess, how would it handle 5 GB hdd.
Note,this is just theory. 😊
I'm not too sure, but from what i understand
Data handling should not be a problem, as it only is going to be streamed which will only be a few kbps (we have streaming applications (over GPRS) running anyways)
What i'm not sure is... the storage device being able to stream to the phone (remember...it only a storage device , no processor to stream or act as a streaming server). :robot:
I dont know the devices spec so i will lie to you if i tell you that i does/does not have the ability to stream data to a bluetooth enabled device, but, from what i've read on toshibas website the purpose of the device to encrease storage for bluetooth enabled devices like PDA's and mobile phones, meaning, there must be a way for data to be transfered on and from the device.
A short reminder.....Bluetooth Headsets are designed for Mobile Phjones....but the 7650 does not work with them!
I call that,the 7650 curse 😊
Nokia always puts limititation to their phones
just wonderin what nokia thinkin
ahhh maybe nokia still not releasing any Bt headset now
and then the 7650 comes first but nokia doesn;t wat its customers to buy other branded Bt headset like SE so they take off the Audio support in 7650
hahah Nokia "Ebil"
oopps
/me speaks no ebil see no ebil hear no ebil
People!...
The problem with adding a seperate BT HD like the Toshiba one mentioned is adding it to the existing phone, for example your phone currently has a C:/D:/Z: drive. You would have to add it as a different drive (E: for example) then have the phone access the drive for specifc applications. It's not as simple as just buying the drive and it working.
Sounds like more hasstle than it's worth to me!
