Hello,
My local ISP is offering full version java games for Nokia 7650. If I will order, they will send a message to my 7650 then I will just download it using my phone connection. My question is.. is it possible to get the installer files from my phone so that I can save it in a flopy disk or into my hard disk? just in case, I will remove the game, I can install it again without having to order and pay again.
Thanks in advance.
If they send you .jad and .jar files, you can send them to the PC then use them when you want.
It would happen right?
Correct me if i'm wrong 😊
I can't see why not, you will need a Filemanger installed on your phone to be able to see the Jar/Jad files.
Hello 😊 and J2theIZZO,
Thanks for the quick response. Thanks for informing me that 'll just need to transfer the .jar & .jad files using efilemanager to my PC with the help of Infra connection.
again, thanks a lot.
I think that OTA downloading is quite different! They J2ME games will be installed directly! I havent tried that but you could do something I did! When they send you the SMS with the URl where you go with your WAP browser...go with IE....and download the files from there.....you dont need the .JAD file just the .JAR file. Hope that help!
hi Malebuffy,
Thanks! will try that too 😊
download them via OTA,
then go with a File-manager in directory:
C/system/Midp/
there u will find the jar u need.
Now only go on the file and dend them via infra/bluetooth on your PC.

Hi,
I succeed in sending a copy of .jar file from Nokia 7650 to my PC and I like to thank you ALL!
Try and install the Jar file onto another 7650 if possible. Depending on how the game was installed it may not work on another phone, an example of this being games from www.midlet.com
Although they save a jad and jar file on your phone, these cannot be used to install the game on another handset. The only way to back them up is to copy the entire folder of files to your pc and then onto the 7650, copying the exact location.

Thank you omar_g
I guess, you right I better back up the whole folder of the application -- to be sure that I can install it again when I removed them from my phone and just in case my brother will like the games the I have, I can give him a copy 😉
again, thanks
