I am using yahoo and hotmail as my email and i dont have problems using WAP thru GPRS to check them, however i cant seem to download the attachments on emails i receive. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot 😃

Yes, I use WAP thru GPRS on checking my hotmail and yahoo email accounts. Any idea on the problem? Thanks

I think it is not possible to download email attachements through WAP! Well it does not work for me either!

I believe Yahoo is POP3 so you can set up your account in your mailbox and get attachments that way.

You can't download attachments via Hotmail as you are browsing it via WAP and it isn't a POP3/IMAP4 account.

Oh geez, thats why(now i know), thanks to all who replied. By the way, i have also tried setting up my pop3 mail account thru my local ISP on my 7650 mailbox but whenever i tried connecting or retrieving mail from my mailbox it says something like, General: system error, try again. I have tried it a couple of times already and it still gives the same error. I have called my ISP and they said that their pop3 mail service is accessible thru my Nokia 7650 GPRS. Is this some sort of incompatibility problems with the current OS version installed on my 7650? I have the 3.12 version. Thanks for replying.

MaleBuffy: Im trying to connect on the Mailbox under Messaging folder of my 7650. Is that still GPRS thru WAP? Im a newbie and confused. Shed some light pls.. Thanks

the mailbox you are refering needs an Internet Access Point! Although you might have GPRS, it is possibly restricted for WAP use only! You need an Internet GPRS account! Use your PCs ISP Access point to check it out!

I have called my Mobile Phone Network and they said that the GPRS i configured on my phone is perfectly right for me to check my pop3 mailbox thru GPRS. My Internet Service provider also advised me that they indeed allow their pop3 mails to be checked thru the GPRS that my mobile network has. They said that i must use the same Access Point i use in WAP to check my Pop3 mailbox as well. I hope this info will solve my problem. Thanks

Sorry i forgot to login after i disconnected and called both my MOBILE network and Internet service provider. Anyway, here was my last reply:

Are you able to use webviewer with you access point? Or any other software that does use the internet like oplayo etc.?

I havent used that 2 applications because i havent installed them yet, but im certain that i can connect thru the internet using the access points in the phone and connect thru bluetooth then surf thru my Laptop computer. From there i can check my pop3 email but only thru my laptops email software and not thru the Messaging/Mailbox function of my 7650. 😞
