Well not really, but it's the next best thing....

www.yourwap.com
It's a resource center. Storage, email etc etc.
Go here and register. You can then create folders and place your files in them (yes, even *.sis files).

Then go to www.yourwap.com/index.wml with your wap browser. Login. Go to files and then email the file to your phone's email and vola!! You have your file(s). Pretty handy if you don't want to carry your PDA around with you. It's like a handy remote HDD. 15MB of HDD 😃

I better win the Nobel Peace Prize for this 😉

Well done!! Thanks for sharing with us all!! 😉

Finally. Some praise. LOL (just kididng). And as for being Marketing as a profession, no. I should maybe consider it 😉 The Navy life is getting a little too much for me

For anyone with free GPRS that'll be great!

You're in the Navy? 😮 I'm impressed! I passed the PRMT test to join the British Royal Marines but didn't take it any further. You're a brave guy!

Well yeah. I've been in the RAN (Royal Australian Navy) for 6 years now. I'm a Naval Aviator (no no, none of that Topgun crap) LOL. I only fly Seahawks and Sea Kings Choppers :-?

This would be a good service, but seems I cannot access that particular WAP page here in Finland, at least with GPRS. Although the service has many nice options, for storing files I suppose we could use directly our e-mail inbox (e.g. private ISP or company e-mail server), by storing the files we need as attachments to dummy e-mails in some special folder, without the need to forward them later from somewhere else. 😊

Any other ideas for having a virtual memory on the web? :-?

Umm... not sure what you're asking. But the service is WWW/WAP.

WAP: http://www.yourwap.com/index.wml

It works now, sorry. Strange, first time it was not working.... But you said 15 Mb, and there is 3 Mb limit for storing files. Where is the rest of the space? If it is in e-mail attachments, then again, we can use the solution explained before too, isn't it? :-?
