it looks nice. i tested it with icq, and it works fine.
the only point i dont understand is, i cant see if somebody really is online. some are some are not. maybe its random. 😃

i didnt test the MSN access ...

Just tried this out, but every time I press "Connect" and choose a GPRS connection it immediately says "Connection Failed. Check your GPRS account in your phone"

The GPRS settings are OK, they work with everything else.

Anyone got any ideas?

same here im using vodafone live gprs settings and it says check your settings :x

I take it you have all signed up for a Tipic account and enter those details with the password they email you when it loads up?

Just discovered that if you select connect again and choose the same connection it works as far as starting gprs, it still says Connecting 0% at the bottom though.

Did you insert your username/pwd in the settings panel?
You must see in the main view your Jid (in the Jabber world it mean Jabber ID), sometingh like: "[email protected]".

Still can't get it to work but I think it's a problem with my network. O2 seem to have removed my access to the mobile.o2.co.uk apn :x

Also here in Greece (Cosmote) is not working... (on 7650 ver 3.16) 😞

Works for me too, with Ben GPRS.

I'm on Vodafone UK and when I try to connect using tipic it progresses up to 80% and then stays there. The GPRS connection comes on and I have an account with tipic but I cannot connect.

Any ideas?

I'm on Vodafone UK and it does work. There are times when it sticks on 80% but in general, I've found it to be really good.

I can now log in once in a while. 80% is the login part I am told by the tipic people.

Has anyone got TipicME working on Orange (UK)? Whenever I tell it to use the GPRS connection it just instantly errors and tells me "Check GPRS setting in the phone". Any idea what might be wrong (and yes, I do have the GPRS set up)

It works great with the normal dial up (9.6kb/s), but not on GPRS.

If I cant get this working I'll just have to wait for IM+ that hopefully will support MSM soon (

works perfect on my phone..its just when i want to add a contact then nothing happens..only if the other side adds me then i get an autorisation request..

other then that..im very happy with this 😊 😊

O2 have started to charge for Mobile Web access. The basic tariff is �5 a month, with GPRS charged at �1 per MB. I asked to have it activated on my account, and this was done but I wasnt given a choice of tariff, so i've no idea how much i'm paying. I'll have to wait until my bill come in on the 8th December.

The IM+ people are saying it will be on Handango for sale at the end of this week. They did say that last week though...

O2 have changed their GPRS tariffs for the second time this month. The cost now depends on which tariff you are on but will either be �2.35/�5.00 per MB or you can pay a monthly flat fee of �12 and get 5mb. Rip off either way... 😞

First Tipic wouldn't send me my password. Waited a couple of days and tried again. This time I have a password but their website doesn't recognise it. It's not a difficult set of instructions so i'm pretty sure i'm doing it right. Anybody else had problems with the usless website?
