Using a 3 sim

I have a 6630 thats on orange, if i get it unlocked can i use it with a 3 sim?

If you get it unlocked (the SIM lock removed), then yes.

i have 6680 using the sim that came with it on movistar contract, very expensive, so ive put a bog standerd pay as u go 2g sim in it, and i can make video calls to people in england, so why did i need the sim that came with it is it special.
