cell broadcast. what is it?

i notice that there is something called "cell broadcast" in the extras menu. please could someone inform me of what this is as i have no idea.

Cell Broadcast is a feature that lets you receive the Cellular Opperator Broadcasted services.

This feature is related to each GSM Opperator. Tou can add services that your GSM Opperator offers, like Exchanging rates, stock exchanges, Horoscopes, Wheater...

Usually you will have to pay or subscribe to those information services.

Cell broadcast (sometime different names are used: broadcast messages, info service, local broadcast, area info, broadcasting channels, etc...) is an info service allowing you to get various informations on the display of your 9210. Not all Network provide this service so you will have to check this with them.... 😉
