New OPL runtime for Nokia 9300/9500

I'm proud to announce the release of version 1.55 of the OPL runtime for Communicators.

OPL is an interpreted language targeted at Symbian OS phones. OPL is an entry-level development tool that enables rapid development of applications. OPL consists of phone-side code (runtime and translator) and PC-side code (translator and tools).

Version 1.55 of OPL is released first for the Nokia 9300/9500 Communicators and provides a large number of bugfixes and a number of functionality enhancements, making it just as mature as the Nokia 92xx release.

Starting with version 1.55 there are now two flavors of developer packages: the full developer package, suitable for OPL development on the PC and on the device itself, and the mini developer package, which only contains the files needed to do OPL development on the device.

For more information and to download the latest OPL runtime and developer packages visit the OPL-DEV project on sourceforge.net.

The 92xx version of the new runtime will be available within the next two weeks.

Best regards
