I've spent around a hundred bucks on games and software for my 9300 recently, and now I've got a 9500. Do the activation codes they gave me cling to the SIM or the phone? Can I just copy my software over? Please?

Some of the software will work (the ones for which you didn't have to supply your IMEI-number). For the other ones, you will need to obtain a new registration code based on your new IMEI-number (each phone has a unique IMEI number - most shareware uses this (sometimes in combination with the user name) to calculate the serial-number.
Obtaining a new registration code usually is not so difficult. An request per email to the vendor with your old an new IMEI number and the purchase details is usually sufficient.
