iDesk-How do I backup ...?

I hope Arjen reads this and has time to spare.

I want to upgrade my firmware (N9500) from 5.22(1) to 5.22(7). I have iDesk 1.46 installed (under Memory card\System\Apps) and a lot of info stored under password, templates, notes etc. which I would hate to type once more. I would love to retain my settings as well. I am aware of "configuration-back up" property of the version 1.46 for uninstalling and installing. Does this property back-up on the MMC card? Making it more open, will it be any good during upgrade; if not, what will your recommendation be on how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

Making a configuration backup is enough. After the firmware upgrade, you simply restore the previous configuration and everything will work again.

But, if you want to retain all your settings (C: also contains your contacts, your emails etc) , simply make a complete backup of C: on your memory card using File manager.

Then get your firmware upgraded and after the upgrade, restore the backup to C:. I've done that same procedure before and it definitely works.

Best regards
Arjen
