Ok I've had the phone 3 days now and have noticed an image gallery issue. The quality of the images is not that great...a bit blocky, if I open an image it will only show it at it's best if I press option then cancel, maybe it's something to do with the memory card read speed, does this happen with anyone elses?
Also the radio will not play through loudspeaker, you only get this option when you plug in the headset.

Olly,

I think the headset acts as an aerial.
Loud speaker works with the headset or without for music player.

It first appears at a lower resolution, but then if you wait a split second it will then show at full quality, this is so you can scroll between the pictures quickly. This is standard with pretty much all digital cameras.

Hi peeps..

Hoping someone can advise me...as I'm a bit of a novice..

I've been reading the posts about flashing the N80 and I understand that the software is updated to sort out any bug/problems once released.

I've got a N80 on O2, running version

So my questions are..

What is the latest tired and tested version that I should flash this with ?

What is the best language pack to use as I only use english?

Just to confirm...

A freind of mine just purchased an N80 on O2 down here in southampton, and it has the new 3.0618.0.2 firmware. Didnt check the date with it.. sorry!

My 17 firmware seems very buggy... anyone else get graphics glitches when changing modes on the camera?

Goto Camera > options > Image setup > shooting Mode. Now press up or down to select a mode... the icons go grainy like static on a tv....

It has done this out of the box, none of my old N80s on other firmware did this. wierd

I thought the static looking graphics when changing modes was suppose to be there? i think it looks quite good hahaha. is it actually an error then? 'cos it seems to be exactly the same on each icon for exactlythe same amount of time.... hmmmmmmmmm? :con?

Mine is identical, I also thought it was meant to do that, doesnt do when the next icon is not on the screen...so version 18 has this error... if it is one.

Is it me or is this option really crap, half the time it doesn't know whether to show thumbnails or the bloody boat image! and when it DOES actually try to work the images you open are poor quality, I've mentoned this before but now it's begining to annoy..don't even try the slideshow option!....what do I do?

My mate has an 02 phone with earlier firmware and see what his is like...

UPDATE.... It's not the phone, it seems to be an error with the Three network theme that must stop or slow the memory on the phone, I set the theme to Nokia and everything worked so much faster...WTF?

VERDICT: '3' phone owners......bin their theme, it creates conflicts and slows the phone down BIG TIME.

ya ive noticed this, i did my own theme, but it really slows down the speed of my phone so i had to unistall it
