Is this Generic firmware or the firmware you get on the phones from 3 I just wanna know if the dual mode / gsm feature is there or blocked out like on the three phone?

my n80 is RM-92 i ment the network 3 so this is generic nokia firware then?

has anyone flashed there phone with this yet?

Why are the files in .exe format. Have you flashed your phone with this firmware? And what does it improve?

this firmware has only V45(UK SS) & V55(Austria SS) language packs, they both include English, French, German, Spanish, Italian & Portuguese.
After running the .exe files it unpacks the firmware to "Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-92"

I need central european languages so I didn't try it. Hope someone can get another language packs.

Thanks for letting us know so no one else does it. I was sceptical thats why I never flashed mine and its seems people used members as Guinea pigs to see wether it worked or not.

Hi,

I have a SIM FREE (no network branding) N80 and after applying the latets 0618 FW, I am STILL ABLE to switch on and off the 3G GSM mode....

Hopefully you can simply re-flash back to 0617 (which is also included in the download link).

Mine Also is Sim Free No branding got it from the CPW which deal in Unbranded Sim free mobiles, But still cant switch off the 3G no option also if you have upgraded with this firmware your phone should start up with the '3' network logo just after the Nokia handshake which means 100% this is '3' Branded firmware.

Also for Info once you upgrade you cannot go back i would advise everyone to stay clear until Nokia specific Firmware arrives.

Which one did you use there are 2 v3.0618.0.6 files one is (45) and the other is (55) I guess one is 3 specific. Have you noticed any improvements apart from the obvious setback?

I got the Files from the link DX posted and the only update in there was for the V55 Language pack, I assume this does not matter as the main other v3.0618.0.6 is the firmware specific which in this case means for '3' network only.

I could be wrong, Did not notice any difference what so ever only thing i did notice was the '3' bootup logo and was missing the GSM only option.

mm?? crazy, im on Mexico and i flashed it, and i had no problems with it, i can switch from GSM to 3G option, or i can select both, i havent see any impovments at all, mina was the oldest version sim free, unbranded, then i updated to V 3.0617.0.6, now i flashed it and i got v3.0618.0.6 and no problems with 3

The (45) one is at the bottom of the folder it has the V1miro_rofx_3.0618.0.2.V45 heading that is probably the generic one.

DX can you confirm which version you flashed your N80 with either the V45 or V55 since i dont want to keep flashing mine i would just like it confimed by anyone if they flashed theirs with the V45 language pack and definately do not get the '3' Logo at start up and still have the GSM option.

ANYONE ????????

I'm currently searching for the nfo file or the like to see what is contained in this before upgrading mine at the moment if it offers nothing extra its really not worth the risk.
