The N80 is a phone first then and should have enough juice to operate for more that 24hrs with normal usage with one charge, but i can't even do that.

The bottom line is the battery is not man enough for the job.

Important message -- This is not a whinge I am stating the reality of my N80.
if Nokia ever want me to buy another Nokia phone then I have to be able to believe (have confidence) that there phone specs are correct, true to life in day to day usage. (I know they are borderline, but being down right untrue is just wrong).

Nokia Spec :deal:
Power Management - BL-5B 820
Capacity (mAh)
GSM Talk time Up to 3 hrs*
GSM Stand-by Up to 8 days* 🙄

Prehaps they should also state the 3G details as well.
All I want is a higher capacity Nokia Battery for this phone.

Join the cue teece,

did you go to the nokia.co.uk forum to sign the petition ?

Don't know if its just me but for about 2 weeks now, due to a crap battery my phone has been turned off and put on charge every night. I am now lucky if i get 8-10 hrs from a battery.
That includes may be 3 minute calls and 4-5 text. That includes all the battery cost cutting bits turned off.

Sorry but from my point of view, that is not acceptable.

Sign the petition on the www.nokia.co.uk forum its growing quite big now and hhopefully Nokia will take notice.

The big problem that I see is if Nokia admit there is a battery problem, or in fact they supplied the phone with an inadequate battery therefore suppling goods that cant be used for the means that they were designed and bought for, then nokia would then be liable by law (i guess) to rectify the problem, and this would be that they would have to supply higher capacity batteries,

The question is, would they be willing to do this, Although there are many N80 users out there, we are probably only just a very small minority of Nokia users and they may see that its not worth putting the problem right, unless there of course is court action and they are made to put the problem right.
