has anyone managed to install xsound for S60 3rd? There was an anouncement on this site that there was a version suitable for the N80 but after I tried to install it I got the error message saying "Certificate Error - contact the application supplier" (which I did but have not heard anything yet).
Just wondered if it was just me....
Not 100% sure, but check the faq at the top of the forum

Thanks but it's not that. I have in App Manager my settings such that 'Software Installation' is set to All and 'Online cerif check' is off. Oh well, I'll wait and see when someone else installs it.
Saw this on their site, maybe why it wont install

I got the errror as well - didnt installed on mine.
I actually just emailed xsound suggesting they should partner with a product like vibe stream, a streaming mp3 application for your computer, would be great to b e able to choose between music on my N80, or to access music on my home PC from one application 😊..

Cash, did you manage to get Vibe Streamer working on your mobile? I couldn't get it to display the files...

No, its a problem with flash lite in the phone.
N80 just has flash lite 1.1 and as I understand its a very stripped down version, and vibestream wont work with it I think it doesnt allow streaming either, when and if flash lite 2 is available as an upgrade that may do the job, somebody on here was going to test it on one of his phones with flash lite 2 on it, cant remember who
An alternative would be for somebody with Java experience to make a java mp3 app, I chatted to the developer at vibe stream and he is happy to work with somebody to do this.
I would love to get involved in something like this, but I have no programming skills at all 😞 😞 😞
I have installed and used xsound successfully. Don't know if others have managed to get it going?

No, I installed mine successfully but it refused to run, just booting me back to the system screen on each attempt. 😡
Hi!...
Finally today i did a hard reset to my phone... may be some folders was missing and that´s why don´t installed in the right way before this reset...
Then i installed again XSound Player ...
Now it´s working ok 😊 ...
A really nice player ... better sound quality than the build in player ...
Some things needed to be fixed yet about the controls ... because was made for non slider phones first... some controls need to be changed to the joypad ... in order to keep it the slider close and still full operative (ffw , rew, etc)
But i am happy and i just wait for upgrade versions ...
cya!
I edited my last post up here...
