Whats this "Orb" program, could this be used in some way?

I have a Bluetooth usb dongle but its a bit slow of course, much faster via USB cable or by putting the miniSD card in the laptops card reader but of course file sharing over wifi would be handy.

Orb has a file browser in the Add-ons menu that you can browse your pc with and download and upload files from anywhere in the world! How fast it goes just depends on your upload speed on your broadband connection at home 😊

hi, i have downloaded orb and set it up on my pc. i can see thumbnails from the orb website on my phone for all of my files but when i try to look at any of my music, pictures or video files it says "unable to connect to server, file not found" what am i missing? please help. Thanks

Is there a guide anywhere that shows me step by sep including the setup of the home network? I have follwowed instructions in the conrtrol panel but im not to sure its definatly setup.

ok im new to all this but i have done everything properly so far..only problem i have is i can not listen/watch anything on my n80..when i go through the folders on my phone and play wat i want to listen to it plays it on my computer not on my phone..is this supposed to happen?? or am i doing somethin wrong..can anyone tell me how to play the data on my phone not on my pc..

thanx in advance

I've just got my first symbian phone this weekend and i cant for the life of me get the file sharing working!

Have you tried SymSMB? Exactly for your needs - File sharing over Wi-Fi.

You may have a look at SymSMB v.2.00 - application that provides wireless file access / transfer / share
between Series 60 3rd Edition phone and any computer under Windows XP / 2000 / 2003 / Vista, Linux, Mac or OS X
with nothing to install on computer side.
This access is in both direction - from phone to computer and from computer to phone.
As for "wireless" part - you could use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, 3G, WiMAX and so on.
SymSMB v.2.00 should be available for Public Release in a few days, more information is available at www.telexy.com
