vscumm!

i decided to download vscumm, it installed correctly and i managed to fix the "tiny resolution" problem. but theres two things...

Which files does vscumm load?

and..where can I buy games which will work on vscumm? I'm desperatly trying to find some but with no success.

Any ideas would be great! I'd love to play through the old indiana jones games again

it plays the old pc lucas games, if u find any u must extract with pc, place all files into a folder (call iy VS) then coppy the folder and its contens to fone, open vscumm and find the folder, click on it and it will work!

when u download rom its zipped and its password protected ...In the zip folder u got file in .exe! Than what i done as i couldn't extract it . Sent it to pc!I clicked on the .exe file and it ask 4 password (monolith).Than it will open all files in ur desired destination folder.. Than put all files in a folder (name it VS) send 2 phone, than simply run emulator and choose the file.

help!!!

i have unziped the folder on myu pc, labelled the folder VS copied this to my fone, where can i get vsumm aplication from to be able to play the game, searched on google but not a lot came back.

when in game press 0 + 2 if I remember correctly, all the function keys for options are 0 + another number.

a big thanks to both ukmic and biggzy for helping me get this sorted itsa a combo of 0+2 then 0+4 to get to fill full screen, don't even seem to loose any quality in gfx....wicked....cheers gents:icon14: :icon14:

I d/l Vscumm from the link by VJ_UK, installed OK, then I d/l Indiana from the link above.... extracted it, then extracted using the password, got all the files out, put them in a directory ScummVM, but vscumm can't find it when I try and add a game.

I also tried it within a sub folder under e:\ScummVM, but nothing - what am I doing wrong?!

hi alfa,

i set this up only the other day, both monkey 2 & indi jones, what i did was extract all the files for each, create a seperate folder for each of the games (just to ensure all the files dont get mixed up), then create a new folder on my e: (mini sd) at top level called games, then when i opened vscumm it automatically looked for a folder called games, plus doing this saves hunting thru directories.

once you get it working dont forget the hold down 0+2 then 0+4 after a few attempts it will fit the screen perfectly....

Hi, I'm having problems too... all I get is:

"ScummVM could not find any game in the specified directory"

The directory is E:\vscumm\monkey and I have tried with my original files, also the ones downloaded from this thread

Please help!!

I made an IJ folder under a games directory off the root of the mem card, stuck all the extracted IJ files into here (about 90 odd), fire up vscumm, tried pointing it to games and then games\IJ... still can't find game in directory error.

hi alfa & guido,

this is how i remember doing this;

1. install vscumm
2. extract game, this should create a folder
3. create folder called games on e:\
4. copy complete folder to games folder
5. load vscumm application

then as far as i rememeber;

6.select add game
7.double click (left shoulder button) to go down a level
8.double click on the games folder
9.you should now see the games folders eg IJ-LA, highlight this folder single left click
10.click on choose
11. bingo...this should load the game

yes mate, ggot the games from the links on p1, biggzy sent me the vscumm application, maybe the application picked up via the link has a bug??!!

if you wanna send me your email address, i will forward you the app and the the games folders that i used, unfortunately they are on my desktop at home so i won't be till later this evening.

to be honest mate, i had no faith in ever getting this to work on my fone, and was amazed when i did, so if i can, anyone can!!!!!!

S'ok no rush, I'm busy enough at work....

I can only think maybe something's different between the vscumm on the link on page 1 and the version you have. Mine was 0.90 (or similar).. the latest version on the vscumm homepage.

My email is postmaster{_at_}alfa145.co.uk would be interested in a copy of it, cheers mate!

obviously replace the {_at_} with the proper symbol..

An update after the email from Deano...

The link to the scumm installer on page 1 (file name : scummvm-0.9.0-s60-v3-nonscumm.sis ) does not work with the games in the links.

Instead, you need a file named scummvm-060611-SymbianS60v3_all.sis and it will work as posted in the steps above.

ureeka!!! got there in the end then mate, i havent played it for about 14 years on the old amiga, should bring back happy memories!!!
