Nosferatu...about my c:rom problem...
recently i've been playing around installing programs and trying them...
After a few days I un installed them...
This could have affected my c:rom?
It could all be fragmented with old files...actually I could see traces of old programs that i don't have any more in the system part of file manager!!!
Do you suggest to format?!
Thanks...

Sometimes it's hard to clean every single file that a app installs when you use it. Some applications install extra applications and stuff. Ini's get left behind ...

You could go through every folder on c and just delete them.

A format can always help 😉 Just make sure you've got your most important data backed up

I'm doing it in this very moment... 😊
I've installed/uninstalled many programs...and I've cleared the ones I remember!
I found these...would you help me remember if they are important sys progs or if they are other things.
By the way...everytime I install an app I install it in d:rom...but I find traces of these apps in my c:rom...and sometimes I find entire apps that I know I've installed in d: in my c: !!!
Any clue??!!

The apps are: AppframeOPX.sis,ePsINT.sis,install.log,OPL.sis,SendAsOPX.sis,SystemOPX.sis

Regards... 😃

All the sis files will be placed in C:, but don't delete them, these aren't your original sis files these are sis files that enable the removing system to work.
THey only contain information about which files to delete.
If you keep the install.log in c: you could move the sis files to d:\system\install\

Thanks!
I have a question: some months ago I inadvertly cancelled my D: system folder! I don't see it in file manager but I do see it when I connect my 9210i to pc suite! How can it be possible?

I still assume you mean the D mmc and not the Z rom?
if you can't see the D at all even with the show systems dir, try reinstalling filemanager or try the cool one from redshift 😊

Infact I mean the d rom 😊
Excuse my ignorance, but how do I uninstall file manager? Is it part of the nokia sis package? 😮ops:

Are you shure you are using the MMC card-ussualy named d: drive?

You have on your 9210 the following drives:

Z:Rom (Read Only Memmory)

C drive (The 9210 internal hard drive)

D: Drive the MMC Card removable drive.

If you have not installed anything there, you won,t be able to see the system folder.

On the extras control panell (CHR+Extra`s key) you have the option to install-remove software.

Browse that category and remove whatever program does not fit your needs.

Usually when you install something, the software will upgrade-unnistall the app you will overwrite.

(P.S. I have formated my device 20 times until I completley undestood how it works) I am still using format these days, for fun or to drive my wife creazy because i play with tis procedure for about 3-4 hours.

Recommended:

Try a format after you backup all,I mean all informations you need, Fresh install including must have apps, backup again... And from this verry moment you cand do whatever you want in your 9210.
