Ok, You flashed your phone? What did you use.

Just a thread for the people worried about flashing if we can make a list of what network people are on, what firmware was used. ETC, as I have seen quite a few people worried that because there on a certain operator they need a certain firmware, I hope my experience benefits anyone.

I installed all the options, im on an O2 contract phone, it came pre installed with O2 screensaver and already set up. though its not branded on the phone in the UK.
I used the generic firmware located at the bottom of the flashing thread, linky: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C7107U1Q
The hardest part was getting the damn software installed correctly!
Other than that, went without a hitch now on v4 not had a single problem... Didnt get this antivirus installed or this search program? but I had all the other applications on the phone already!

I used diego and pheonix 2006. Did not bother with the BB5 Reaper. I downloaded all the programs the double clicked on the 108MB firmware file with installed ALL the new firmware versions into pheonix.

I then chose the euro 1 smooth and stainless.

15 mins later im on version 4.0*** (whatever it is)

Very easy

Phoenix 2006 + Diego
v4 firmware was the .exe from megaupload

Flashed several times without a hitch. Even managed to get PC suite running alongside phoenix.

Now! Is a little out of time... I think. Now is possible to do the update by Nokia Site direct, without risk of lose garantee, isn�t it?😎

The BB5 Reaper is not required to flash the new firmware, what it does is gives you a installation guide including links to download the Phoenix software etc and also guide to flashing your phone.
