GPRS, Packet data and connections

Hi,

can anyone (Rafe?) explain to me why my N80 drops connections from applications like the browser or SEVEN's allwaysonmail client when I use the phone. It would appear that packet data connections are stopped when I call someone (voice only - I don't know anyone with a video phone). In my own simple minded way I assumed the GPRS connection would be used for voice whilst the 3G connection would continue to work with the "internet" apps. This doesn't appear to be the case at all.

I have to say - I'm confused.

Any help / thoughts gratefully received.

regards,

Slart.
