N80 - AD-41 headset - Music Player...

When the Music Player is paused or stopped and it's in the background or the keypad is locked the remote control simply doesn't work (the music controls, the call button always works), I have to unlock the keypad and/or bring the Music Player forward to use the remote control again. While a track is actually playing, the remote control works with Music Player in the background or keypad locked.

Very annoying, if I had to pause the player for some reason, I have to pull out the phone from my pocket to unlock the keypad/bring the Music Player forward to restart the music/remote control...

Is this supposed to work this way or I have a lemon headset?

Good to know... That sucks. I'm not buying that headset then.

I confirm that "play/pause" and "stop" fonctions are very stupid, so, i never used them ! My main interest is to keep too my phone IN my pocket and have a full control for music with the remote.
How designer of this remote could be SO STUPID ? I don't understand...

But remote is great for everything else (selecting track, ajust volume, fast forward/rewind, answer call, put YOUR quality heaphone). And I'm hoping that further firmware will fix the design error (for me) as they do with the shot button (button is no longer active when phone is locked on recent firmware).

lol iv noticed it does this, i dnt mind as i dnt pause my music!

Pause does seem to work on occasion - I've been able to pause the music and start it playing again after a short pause. I'd theorise that the MP3 player loses focus after a set amount of time, preventing the remote from unpausing the player.

Looks like the AD-41 is simply not 100% compatible with the N80 (and maybe with other E and N phones), maybe because the Music Player works differently than the one in the 3250, or the 3250's dedicated music keypad on the phone makes difference in the locking of the keypad. (I assume that this headset works with the 3250 without these limitations, otherwise Nokia engineers are really morons)
