VideoMMS english translation

8 replies · 3,421 views · Started 05 December 2002

I've translated the videoMMS application. Here is a replacement Platform4Encoder.rsc file. Use your favorite file manager program to replace the one that is installed on the phone with the translated version.
(I think I've got most of the messages.. might have missed one or two)

I'm not posting, and will not send the whole application to anyone, until the mods have made a decision as to whether they are going to allow the download of the app from this board.

It can be found in other places, if you want it, have a hunt around.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks for your understanding ephebe.

Posting this kind of file is OK. It is up to people whether the use it or not. So its OK (I think)! 😊

I think, that you think wrong  Because if you make ANY change to program without author's permission, then you are breaking EULA. But I have nothing against warez, so I'm happy, that you think that it's ok 😃

Believe me this one has gone back and forth a couple of times. Since this can't be regarded as getting software for free it is probably OK. (Thats why I said I think). Yes there probably would be a question of breaking a EULA - it something I'll look into.

We generally recommend people go to the author direct and offer to do a translation. Normally authors are delighted to have this done.

However if an author came a long and asked for the file to be removed it would be.
