Flipside - its a definite improvement, but I still have problems seeing the links (blue on black is a bit unclear at least for me).

Maybe you could change this a little?

I might be a bit biased but I think you have an excellent choice in affiliates. I'm thinking I'm going to have to have a list of the sites that use the headline, which are currently to my knowledge

I think that's an occupational hazard of me making the site on a laptop, the TFT is so insanely clear compared to the most expensive monitors. Hence why I use (abuse) a yellow rollover, perchance I shall make links bold, that should help.

Yep, that would certainly help. TFT screens do tned to have greater contrast for the dark colours. The other alternative is chnage the link colour itself using a style command in the header.
