not sure but i would think it would be linked to the available memory - ie. more if you have an MMC card.

I think it will be 100KB,MMS limitations.

noooooooooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay that would defeat the purpose of the mmc, i mean if u got 128mb it would be pathetic to only record 100kb!

i am quite sure u can record according to your mmc size

Dont get so upset,i might be wrong,that is all i know for now,100KB.

From the pics ive seen, the maximum ive seen it goes up to 586kb. And there were 3 vids. The other ones were 515kb and 319kb.

interesting maybe there isnt a limit then, i cant understand why there would be. if ther is for mms there should be option to disable it.

I saw a music video on a 3650 and it was about 4Mb in size, so I would assume if it can play back clips that big, there's a good chance it can record clips of similar size.

Btw. I notice Carphone warehouse are now saying March 2003 instead of Jan 2003 for the release of the 3650 😞

The 7650 can play files larger then 100 KB,but it does not mean it can record them.

This is what the 3650 manual says:

You can record video clips up to 95kB in size, or approximately 15 seconds in duration. Recorded video clips are in .3gp format.

It also says that it records without sound. The video's you get of your pc can be as large as your free memory and play with sound.

You can use the 3650 to record 10 secs video without sound, I had tested it at the electronic store in Hong Kong.

Then what's the use of the MMC card if it's only 10 seconds of video? The 7650 with it's 3.6 MB limited memory can record 30 kb with packet video 😃

I doubt everybody is going to use the default video recorder, were gonna see some interesting third party video apps for this so called 3650...

as the 3650 is going to be a mass market phone, its gonna be big! with whole load of apps of new apps. its just a matter of time when people with their big mmc's scream for a *proper* camcorder app 😊

For those of you that wonder if the updated video recorder for the Nokia 3650 works on the 7650 as well the answer is YES!. I have installed it and it's great. The only limitation is that videoclips can only be up to 9secs. It records a good quality video and audio. It's great!

Even though it isnt in the right forum, Nokia has already released the official camcorder for the 7650 which recognises videoclips from the inbox. All 7650 users should download this version which can be found on the 7650 software section.

I have a 6650 3G phone (my dad works for T-mobile) and have e-mailed my computer a video clip recorded in .3gp format and would like to be able to play it on the pc.

Any help appreciated.

Search before posting. There are two players that can play 3gp files. The nokia media player and the philips platform4 player...

NO MATTER HOW MUCH MEMORY THE PHONE HAVE (INTERNAL AN EXTERNAL MEMORY) IT CAN ONLY RECORD ABOUT 12 SEC OF VIDEO (98KB) JUST LIKE NOKIA 7650! OTHERWISE IT CAN'T BE SEND TROUGH MMS!

ONE OF MY FRIEND HAD HIS 3650 ABLE TO RECORD VIDEO AND SOUND AT THE SAME TIME BUT IT REDUCES THE RECORDING TIME TO 9 SEC!

No need to shout, you obviously have not searched much then.

Have a look at 'hipcam' if you want to record longer videos.
It's been discussed many many times on these forums, do a quick search.

when i use hipcam i can record very long videoclips, but the quality is weird... the whole picture floats out, it's so very strange... it's on a 3650...

Try changing the settings for the resolution. I configured Hipcam to use Medium only - video quality is fine.

Get a "Camrec" program and the upgrade software from nokia that take video with sound...

"Camrec" can take around 15 mins video.....

yea i heard hipcam can record longer clips.... can ne give me a figure... im curios
