v 4.0736.3.2.1 04-09-2007 for ME still has problems with shuting down some apps-galery stays running after exiting,so is the log,and the contacts...

so u need some task manager to end programs...and free RAM...

The new firmware has faster menus .

BUT WILL SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING
about the blue haze that keeps popping up when recording video ?
It has a red haze and suddently , from nowhere , and perhaps because of some ray of light it changes to blue and stays that way . The video quality is thus very very poor and bad .

I am talking about recording in a low light enviroment . .

And also when recording , too much light changes the sensor? and the image gets dark , move the camera like 30 cm down where the light is .. lighter and the image will be clearer . . . that`s annoying.

Compared to the N72 video quality in low light condition the n73 has that damn blue haze that keeps sticking to every new firmware that gets released .

When I check the nokia website it says that the latest version for my N73 ME is
Version 4.0727.2.2.1, but you all have Version 4.0736.3.2.1. How come?😊

Hello from a newbie!:icon14:
I've been using a BT-GPS8 JENTRO gps receiver with my N&3 for a while with great success.
I upgraded the firmware on my phone yesterday:
v 4.0736.3.2.1 04-09-2007 RM-133
and now cannot connect to the gps.
TomTom keeps saying connecting, even though the phone is already successfully paired with the gps.
I've had a look through the forum and have seen a couple of suggestions about changing the model number through NSS, to then get different firmware.
I've tried this, but NSU just tells me I've got the latest firmware.
Can anyone suggest a solution? - I don't really want to fork out again for a different GPS receiver.
Is this problem likely to be addressed in Nokia's next firmware update?
Thanks for reading this, and for all yout help!

For some audio files (mainly music) I get crystal clear stereo, however for other audio files (podcasts) I get crappy crackly mono audio. It's not for all podcasts, just some. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Its probably the original source - I've had a few podcasts that are of low/mono quality.

But the rest were all perfect; may scout around for another A2DP headset after the debacle that was the Moto S9 (great sound quality, but lousy reliability).

this is what's being shown on nokia website currently:

"Nokia N73 Software version 4.0735.3.0.2 / 4.0736.3.2.1 released - 9 October 2007

This software version includes Nokia Maps 1.0 (edition 1.2) for use with Bluetooth GPS devices. This release also includes updates to the Music Library and music downloads, and performance improvements to SMS and device application installers. "

my question is:
4.0735.3.0.2 and 4.0736.3.2.1- out of these two, which one is the ME firmware and which on is the STANDARD firmware. and where is the IE firmware??

:con?

Hi All:

This firmware make Leopard 10.5.1 can't pair with bluetooth N73 (vice versa).

Go to a Nokia Service:frown:

Nokia N73
Firmware v 4.0736.3.2.1 04-09-2007 RM-13

I also having trouble with the contact name.

I stored new number, when I making call/received call/received SMS, it doesn't show the contact name but only the number. I've deleted all contact at SIM card, also delete contact that have same first AND last name (e.g. "John Howard"😉 but not contact that have same first OR last name (e.g. "John Howard" and "John Bush"😉. It very inconvenience because I don't know from who the number is.

I ran the nokia software updater with a new firmware Version: 4.0738.3.1.1
Does any one know what are the improvements on this firmware?

What product code did you use to install it? I got the notification to install this a few weeks ago ... but it seems to have disappeared since. Maybe they took it down.

The N73 wasn't even out in the UK then so you MUST have bought yours AFTER that date. ... which is maybe why the version 3 firmwre is such an improvement

Greetings all - Just made the move from SE to Nokia, and let me tell you that I love my N73 ME, but it is much slower than my SE W810. Anyhow, got a question.

My phone came with the following FW:
Firmware v 4.0736.3.2.1 04-09-2007 RM-133

When I try updated it says I'm on the latest... What does the RM- mean? I see other N73's with the same FW but with different RM- values.

thanks.

RM Is the model of your phone ... 😉

doctorjeep71 wrote:So RM-133 is the N73 ME? all other N73's which aren't ME's are another RM?

Well i believe RM-132 is for south America, like Brazil or something...and RM-133 is for any other places like europe, africa, asia...no? I guess it has something to do with the difference of networks between countries...

Ok, im really confused with this, i have firmware version

v 4.0750.31.2.1
15-12-07
rm-133

No one else seems to have this? i did firmware update in dec, possibly first few days of jan.
Could i possibly have one of those temp firmewares- the ones they bring out, realise full of bugs and pull within days?

anyways it seems more stable than all previous ones ive had and the music player is much better too.

shame camera is still soooo slow and gallery STILL shows every damn picture. why cant it file things per folder like the good old days??!?

fox.

I have an N73 (product code: 0541044) and the Nokia Software Updater will only allow me to upgrade to 3.0704.1.0.1 (which I have done).

However, I have a lovely A2DP headset I want to use... Is there any way of taking a risk and upgrading the firmware regardless?

Update: Did some more browsing of the forum and the product code is changed... Wish me luck on the upgrade!

Adeling wrote:And now I have beautiful stereo A2DP -- I smile.

It does sound good piped from the N73, doesn't it?

However, you can't really do much else with the phone whilst its playing music :frown:

I have this firmware as well.

I have been having issues with the camera since upgrading. The application doesn't always seem to open correctly. Sometimes when I snap open the lens cover, it goes to a menu, or a previously opened program.

Is there a way to reload the base operating system?

Can you tell me, with this firmware (which obviosuly Nokia released and then pulled due to various issues), does that annoying flashing curser still appear next to the call bubble when making or receiving a call on the phone?

I'm on v3.0705.1.0.31 and I've had issues with the alarm clock not working as it should when the phone is off. I'd like to upgrade to resolve it but the flashing curser annoys me somewhat so would prefer to stick with my present s/w in lieu of this.
