>>Hey Steve, if you're a two device person, that's completely besides the point. Why would you require those duplicate features from your Psion 5mx when you have an E70 anyway?
Eh? I'm not, I'm a convergence freak. I was just trying to point out how many things modern devices could do that the old ones couldn't.
I still think back nostalgically to devices like the 3mx though - *incredibly* fast, multitasking, fabulous Agenda, Data, Word, Sheet, etc. In some ways, everything since 1996 or so has been backwards 8-(
But in other ways forwards, of course!

Yeah I know, we've discussed this before.
I'm a divergence freak. These devices are so light so I don't see any problem carry a few of them around with different characteristics. The Psion 5mx will never go away because it's brilliant in what it's brilliant at.
Sorry, but that's a head-in-the-sand attitude. Yes, I 100% agree that the Psion palmtops were brilliant and unique, even today, but Psion haven't made them for 7 years and they're almost impossible to repair these days. Part of my reliance on a mobile device is knowing I can replace it if it gets broken or stolen by simply buying a new one.

I guess I should take that as an insult, but since I know it's based on prejudice I wont. Moreover, it's simply incorrect. If someone still relies on a 7-9 year old device along with the latest S60 or UIQ, I'd say it's a sign of pragmatism rather than faddiness.
