Nokia Software Updater, serious question! — Nokia N80

Hello,

Ok I am on my second N80 it arrived this morning! I made extra special care to make sure that I got a UK sim free version. Its in pearl black and this morning I plugged it in to the UK version of NSU and 'no updates available' But I have also a 6630 which is also UK sim free. But here's my question:
During these times I have never had Nokia PC Suite installed on my computer. Could this be the reason that they won't update. Do I need to have it installed? Any advice on this would be great. Thanks

According to the Nokia FAQ here http://www.nokia.com/A4176094#3 it does seem to assume that you have PC Suite installed (which would include relevant connectivity drivers).

I've NSU updated w/o installed PC Suite. It installs just the necessary drivers.
