I have a request.

Hi All.
This will probably never be possible but I am going to ask any way. I have a habit of misplacing my keys at work, As I work in a big factory they can sometimes be hard to find.

My question is this: Is there an app (or the possiblity of one) that I can use to track/find my lost keys by using the screen as guide to their location.
Possibly using a Wifi/ Bluetooth doogle as a transmitter?

What do you think?

No, I don't think that is possible. If you attached a bluetooth transmitter to your keys, it would be possible to determine whether it's in range or not, but determining the direction or exact location is not possible (at least not with the phone hardware).

Actually using the bluetooth is not a bad idea, there is a new program called Blue Radar, basicly its like a scanning program like the scanners you have on ships an such it shows all bluetooth devices and it will lead you too it, as long as your on the same level(Floor) So yes in theory but not very practical the best would be to just get a proper key finder!

It does not work that way. The "radar" in Blue Radar is just fancy graphics, it does not lead you to the device it finds. It just notifies you when it is in range.

Also I don't think that a standard pc usb bluetooth dongle attached to your keys would broadcast anything by itself, even if you powered it somehow. You'd need a more complicated "beacon".

There are easier and better working solutions, just get a keychain tied to your belt or something to stop you from losing your keys 😊

Thanks for your replies.

I had a look at key finders but as the factory is quite noisy I would need a visual tracker instead of an alarm. The only one I have seen is quite expensive.

Just an idea, Thats for your help
