Ive had my N73 for 2 days now and I have some games and apps and stuff installed. I cant for the life of me figure out why the videos and pics all go into one folder and why the games go into the apps section instead of the games section!
Can someone pls tell me how to make it so that all the games go into their own folder and how to get the pictures that I put onto the phone from my pc into a folder of their own called pictures?.
Thanks to anyone that can help!
Agree. CAn't figure it myself either 😉
You can in the main menu create a subfolder (Options > New folder). One level only.
Then you can when a program icon is selected, move it to any folder (or the main/root menu).
For the Gallery there is no solution. It unfortunately lumps everything from everywhere into a big unusable list. The only option it gives to manage/structure things is through the creation of "Albums" within the Gallery app.
Is there an app that can be bought to either over ride the default folders and take tghe pictures into its own folder?
Yep, I agree - the way the gallery shows ALL thumbnails is lunacy!
It shows all my tomtom jpgs - quite why I'd want to show 30mph road signs in my gallery I don't know....
I've managed to lump some photos into albums - but what I'd like to know is if there's a way you can open gallery to show list of albums (and un-albumed pics). Rather than everything all at once.....
The way the gallery lumps everything together is very frustrating. I have pics stored on my memory card, sub folders within a main image folder. To find the picture I want without having to scroll through the whole gallery I use the file manager app on the phone. That way I can find what I want quicker navigating the sub folders.
Otherwise you can use Resco viewer for browsing images.

See if "photo resco viewer" is what You whant!
Going on from Jay3GSM's comments.
You could utilise a "Short Cut" button to take you straight there surely, rather than faffing around with the file manager?
Just a thought.
Matt
Well ive been trying some stuff and ive really got back to where i start, only at this stage im completely baffled by the idiotic ideas that have gone into symbian. You pretty much have to get 3rd party programs to accomplish the most basic tasks that are standard to us all in any OS.
Anyway I got resco photo viewer but I cant see a way to sort out my images with it either. The ones ive copied from the pc are along with the videos and im given no options to move them (lol).
And people say windows is shit....
