Hi. This is my first post on aas! I've just acquired my first ever smartphone a beautiful n73 and still quite excited. Anyway to business. When using the gallery i found it really bugging that every single image and movie appears. Is there no way of removing certain files from the main gallery (like downloaded wallpapers for example) without deleting them.

Unfortunately, that's the unusable way how the app has been designed. It shows all the pics and videos it can find, and the only way to organize them is through its "Albums" feature.
You could try to find some other photo gallery application with a more sensible logic.
i recommend getting Resco Photo Viewer which is in my opinion the best file viewer app on any platform, it should sort out your problem....
Agree with Resco Photo Viewer... a cheap alternative, not so good, is the use of a File Explorer program, like Y-Browser.
Thanks guys. I guess i'll try the resco when i get around to buying apps. Pity nokia had to slip on something like this. Oh well i'll have to settle with owning one of the coolest smartphones and probably best camera phone ever with an irritating gallery. I think i'll survive.
Yeah its a bit of a pain isnt it. Even when putting pics into albums, they all still show up in the main gallary, seems totally stupid!
even if u use Y-Browser,and make the file as "hidden", it still shows in the damn gallery! Was not like that on s60 2nd edition smartphones, if u made the file hidden it would not show in the gallery..
