many midi have a low quality when they are on the phone, so the best way yo edit them is to use a program called anvil studio, u can find it at download.com, just open the midi file you want, then select file, repair song, after you repair the midi, higher the volume, then play the midi, you will notice a big difference, and here is some midis edited with anvil studio.

i prefer nuendo or even cakewalk sonar over anvil studio.

but anvil is a good sharware program, but nothing compared to the top two.

the other programs you mentioned, are they free as well?

No, those are really expensive pro level software. 😞
anvilStudio is the only "good" midi editor that is free.

Blatantly not true. The best way to edit them would be with either Cubase, Logic, Nuendo etc etc..
