Can someone post a link for the M3 program? Tried searching for M3 but got lots of crazy riff-raff. Thanks.

The Official Video Conversion Guide For N80/N73
How do you tell it to size to 320x240, but not to stretch the aspect ratio? I want to encode a widescreen movie, but it comes out in 4:3.
I've been using M3 to convert videos for my N73 and it's great - cheers for the headsup. It's quicker than other encoders and the quality is better. Plus, from what I've done so far there's not been too much of a problem with audio/video sync issues like I've found with other converters.
For those that want to find the program - go to howardforums.com and do a search - It's a program by a guy called "mysh" and it's available on there somewhere (can't remember what steps I took to find it, but I did!)
He has awebsite as well but AFAICS it's not on there to download - the link is this anyway: vapulus Note, this program was orginally intended for Sony Ericsson phones no Nokia NSeries so all default settings and most user input is geared towards them instead.
Just wondering a couple of things:
- is 15fps the maximum frame rate (at 320x240, h264 mp4) that the N73 can display smoothly?
- this M3 program looks good - however, there is no default profile for the N73 yet. Which Sony-Ericsson phone should I select in the main menu as the 'equivalent'?
If I was 100% sure of what settings to use and quality required I'd upload my M3 profile for N73. Unfortunately I'm not at that point yet - I'm still perplexd about the AAC format, it's different varieties and it's different names - not too mention what is best to use and when!
Actually, scrap most of that - I've added my profile for M3. It should work no matter which of the three video quality options on the Basic Options tab.
You can fine tune it further if you want. Also, some videos look amazing even at 200kbps but obviously not stuff that has too much fast moving action.
Having to use 15fps instead of 25 (PAL) or 24.whatever/29.whatever (NTSC) is a bit of a pain - but it appears that's the only way it will appear smoothly. I'm sure I've done 25/30fps files for use with Smatmovie/DivX Player in the past though - but the encode files were made by PocketDivxEncoder and SUPER.
I have tried all the settings above using super, and cannot get any videos to play on my n73, i used the same or similar settings and got them to work fine on my n80, i have flashed the n73 to the music edition firmware but dont think this would have any bearing on why they dont work, the phone shows the files as a broken link and when attempting to play it will only play the music after a warning and no video is displayed, any ideas folks, and where can u get this m3 program from?
cheers
😊 hey guys.. super is the best program ever.... ihave problem with the thumbnail.. anyone knows how to fix it ? ... plz help ..
Hello guys, is it possible to reduce the amount of compression of the
files generated using the xvid codec or other codec to allow the cpu to properly display lets say 24fps?.
Currently I am playing around with Super.
I have had no luck going over 15fps and that's without audio!!.
If I could reduce the compression to allow the file to be bigger we could increase framerate since its easier for the cpu and memory cards are so cheap
anyway so why compress video that hard.
Im I wrong or has anyone successfully viewed a clip without stutter in a higher framerate like 25fps?.
Regards /Peter
nokia should increase the frame rates to 30fps ... anyone else thinks the same?
thanks for details
Where to download M3?

Thanks
Hi
I have just downloaded latest version of super - the N80 profile posted at the start of this thread -does not seem to work anymore (on my machine it says audio only after importing profile. Also am I right in saying that N73 screen is not native 320x240 and therfore could image size not be decreased to offset greater framerate?

I have been wondering the same, I tried encoding a widescreen film using both the 4:3 and 16:9 setting and they were both came out horizontally stretched.
I have been using super and the quality is excellent.
does anybody know how to increase the volume slightly?
Anyone got a fix to get a proper thumbnail for N73 media player? It shows as a "broken" thumbnail..
Sorry, this pist has been changed as I found the resoution is 320x240.
However, if anyone knows how to encode widescreen video without it being stretched into the 3:4 aspect ratio I would be grateful!
Steve
the super N80 profile does not work for me.
the output format is "mp3 only"?
is this profile working for ne newest super version?

You can encode 16:9 right with super. It´s so easy. Works in N73 with RealPlayer 100%. Interested?
- Video Scale Size: 320x240
- Aspect: 16:9 (forces aspect ratio to 16:9)
If You try clicking other resolution, see that the aspect changes accordingly. You have to first set the resolution to 320x240 and then 16:9. Don´t touch those settings anymore!
Now to the hard part, lol. Disable "stretch it" from options. There You go, not so hard? 😉 Now it plays 16:9 in RealPlayer, fullscreen. (with black bars on top and bottom of course)
Here´s a screenshot of my settings:

And if You want, here are my SUPER profiles for N73, 320x240 and wide:
http://rapidshare.com/files/24815987/N73_NormalAndWide.zipPS. Download latest version of Super First -> v.2007 build 22, and drop the .spf files to C:/....SUPER/profiles. If the quality does not satisfy, raise bitrate little.
Oh, and the other thing, raising volume:
Other opts -> tick "adjust the encode volume" and raise the bar to 100-200%, what ever You need.
Here is M3 (v0.8.9.8) with N73 profile for those who can´t find M3:

Many thanks.
Didn't see the stretch it option.
Again Thanks
The profile in the first post doesn't work for me... :con? Just says "ERROR" Can someone please help me? Write down the settings manually perhaps?
I'm using N73 ME. DivX just "got old" again so switching to RealPlayer would be nice. Please advice. I'm also trying to get videos from YouTube... Any N73 users who take videos from YouTube to their phones, how do you do?
Thanks!
Ok, now I got it working. The key was to put fps to 15. On my DivX player I'va always used 30 fps...? But the quality is still fab.
Why can AVI files make 30 fps but these MP4's only make 15 tops?
EDIT: Can the RealPlayer rewind/fast forward videos? It seems quite crude compared to DivX. Any thoughts? And where can I download the latest version of DivX player? Thanks for your patience.
hi,
can some one post a working "super profile" for the latest super 2007 build(nokia n73)
i tried al of them posted here and none are working. they or just dont play or they play and have a broken thumbnail in the gallery

Here is a free program for grabbing videos from YouTube:
http://rapidshare.com/files/26488527/YoutubeGrabber.zipEasy to use. Just put it into a folder where-ever in Your PC´s HD. Run Program, find the video You want. Copy address bar to empty field in YouTubeGrabber and click Grab! Video will be downloaded to same folder where .exe is.
Now You can convert that video (.flv extension) using Super. IF conversion fails, install latest stable release of ffdshow video codec in your PC.

Yes You can rewind/fastforward with Realplayer but not in fullscreen mode. At least not with my current firmware. I Don´t know if this is a bug but I´d like to rew/ff in fullscreen too.
Here is latest version of DivXPlayer:
http://rapidshare.com/files/26491553/DivXPlayer0.86RC2_S60v3SymbOS9.1.zipDivXplayer is practicly a clone of SmartMovie. This will propably work for like next 3 months or so. Don´t really know since I use SmartMovie for to watch .avi files.
Any more questions, just ask.
just joined, dont know much about phones, followed the instructins and got a nice quality avi movie on my phone...fantastic, thank u 😊
0.86 version of Freeware DivX Player is now expired.
Here is the latest, version 0.87:

http://rapidshare.com/files/29315993/DivXPlayer0.87.zipSorry - another question about aspect ratio in Super.
I'd like to encode a widescreen movie so that it's full screen on the phone.
When I choose 4:3 on the menu the picture becomes tall and thin becuase it's squashing the sides in to fit.
What I'd like it to do is lose the sides of the film so that it fills the full height of the phones screen and keeps the right proportions.
Is this possable?
Many thanks 😊
EDIT: I've just seen the crop / pad option on the above screen shot - maybe this is what I need?
Yo, watch movies in wide screen my man! Still better even on a small mobile screen, if you ask me..
"Wide screen - like it was meant to be seen!"
Which settings should i use for my E60 with this super program?
