Hi, i tried to using the loudspeaker to lister to what the caller sayign once but i found it too soft. I have maximise the volume but no vain. Compared to 7210 my friend had, his loudspeaker is louder and clearer even in the open space. How to improve on 7650?
Speaker too soft
OK.. If u dont have any voice tags then create one.
Press the Voicetag butten and say something wrong (ex: Good speaker please 😃 ) after he says "voice tag no found your speaker volume is much bigger, this will work till next reboot.
Good luck,
Gideon
I tried that voice tag thing but when i made a call and turned the voice tag on the volume was really soft/back to normal will it reset back when someone else call's me too or only if i call someone else??
by the way has it got anything to do with the frameware?? i got a 3.12
It should normally work ok for both incoming and outgoing calls once u have made it louder. It may get soft only on reboot, or if u start certain applications (as reported by some members)
No. Its got nothing to do with Firmware Version. (As of now)
Yea it could be possible I use some application and then made the call
thanks
yes it is again soft,if u go into some Java-apps.or if u reboot it.
But the real problem is,that the peopel u phone with, always hear a a delay of the voices, some milisec.after the original-voice.
so i do not use it anymore, because i dont like to make my friends crazy with this echo...

No wonder! So that was the "echo" all my friends were always talking about!
But it's a pity to see such a great phone lack a good louspeaker 😞
any body willing to contribute an Application for this? 😃
Psiloc once try 2 include this feature into eprofile.(a betaversion)
but then they put it not in the final-version,cause withcthe different SW it will not always work.
(My Beta doesnt work, and if i mailed them, they tell me,that it was made for the V.3.16.I got the V.3.12)
But maybe a app.only with this feature would work better?

It's Sami again! You have to put the auto log-on man 😉
Hi , Guys,
My N7650-V3.16 goes to the normal soft sound of the loudspeaker if I restart the phone or use the Recorder(if you set your phone to silent mode You will have all the time loud sound)
BR, M.
If u reboot the speaker goes back to be soft again, thats right.
The loudspeaker goes realy loud only when you make the call.
i havent heard about the recorder thing, will check out.
Bye,
Gideon
mines soft as well, i did use the 7210 loudspeaker but i wasnt impressed a lot. its ok. nokia simply should have made it louder from them itself. i hope the 6610 is better than these 2. god on earth knows wht the designer of the 7650 was thinkin. no radio , no data cables , no bluetooth audio , this phone could have rocked with a lil perfection but hey wht the heck
Tried the 'dummy' voice dial trick, but the receiving party hears an echo of their voice. Sigh. Hope Nokia fixes these 2 bugs soon:
1. Speakerphone too soft.
2. Echo problem when speakerphone is in use after a failed voice dial.
It's been suggested to me that a future firmware fix may fix the softness of the speaker, but unless it does this phone is useless to anyone with hearing difficulties that would benefit from a decent volume.
Its really dumb Nokia havent fixed this so far.
This is the Number 2 issue that i dont like in the 7650.
Number 1 is the lack of memory of course 😃
The echo isn't a software bug.
It is the microphone picking up the sound of your friends from the speaker, so they hear themselves twice, hence the echo effect.
The 6610 has exactly the same speakerphone as the 7210 as does the forthcoming 6100.
The only two phones i've ever used with a good speakerphone are teh Sagem MY-X5 and teh Nokia 9110/9210
Would it be possible to change the speaker to bigger one (somekind hardware mod)? If it stays physically same size as old one.
But how would it be bigger if it stayed the same size? 😮
hehe, I know what you mean though. It wouldnt help. The speaker would still only play at the volume the 7650 outputs the audio at. You could have a 10000watt speaker and it'd make no difference. The speaker in the 7650 is far powerful enough to do the job. Havent you played any games on it? Most of them are too loud! My ringtones are loud enough to be heard in even the very loudest of places too.
But if you do somekind of hw-mod (wire there and here then just a little bit of soldering iron) 😉
well ok!
not entirely related, but...
has anyone noticed that after downloading an audio file thru WAP, you hear a crackling sound every time you press a button?
to get rid of this, hold your finger over the proximity and press any button. Should now say hands free deactivated and go back to normal
Ooh, heres a thought. Maybe someone could make a Bluetooth amp and speaker system that you carry in your pocket?
Ringtones in surround sound 😃
Great!! Pretty soon we'd be adding a BOSE DvD system and bluetooth streaming to the 7650 from the DvD player, then you'll never go bored!! 😃
I'll have 9 of those 😃
