Hi people!
Heres my question:
Im planing on buying a N7650 for christmas...but after reading the topics on this forum im not so sure if i want to.....Does this phone give so many problems? im always reading about people that had to return there cellphones because theres always something wrong with them? and i mean Firmware, case, lockups, shuting down without any reason, bugs, reset button, files that you cant delet...etc...etc...etc...
Im getting concerned, i mean i love the fone and im looking forward for having my own but does the phone give so much trouble?
Please explain this to me...are all these problems true?
will i make a good deal?
What are the main problems with this cellphone?
Thanks anyway!
(sorry for my bad english.....Im Portuguese)
Nothing worng with my phone. And I've had it for 4 months already. Just the occassional crashes (which just resets the phone anyways).
Don't let these gimps deter you from the N7650. They must be doing something wrong. It's a great phone considering it's price.
As for firmware, you don't need to upgrade anything if you're phone is working fine. I'm on v3.12. The case is more robust than my previous 8850. I've dropped my N7650 a few times and it's still fine. As for the shuting down and bugs, it's from individual phones. As I said, I haven't had a problem with mine.
So the N7650 is worth it if you treat it with some TLC.
Merry Xmas 😉
Thanks bro! I was starting to loose my faith on that phone!
I'm in South Africa, and love this phone!
No problems at all...nothing that couldn't be solved by a reboot or reinstalling a bad app (seldom)
Phone is great..memory (or lack of it) is the biggest flaw, but I wouldn't trade it for anything out there right now.
Go for it, you will love it. Most of the "faults" are minor, hardly worth mentioning, and are only mentioned because of the lack of real issues.
If you can make do with the 4Megs, then grab the 7650!
(or get a P800, since they are almost out?)
THink of it this way, its a phone and a PDA all merged into one...price of a PDA...best of all, it's SYMBIAN baby. 😃
My phone has been gone for 5 weeks, and it is still gone, its away for repair.I cant live without it,its a great device, best one the market for now.
Why not consider p800?
Or if your not a 'power' user the 7250 will be a great device! im considering this one as a second handset
I've used the phone for about 4 months now, no problems at all, dropped it twice, but nothing happend at all, but I strongly recommend you to wait for the P800, I'm sure it will be the best phone for 2003.

Depending on user may i stress... It will be the *best* device out ... How ever if his the light user that snaps a pic every now and then - then the 7250 will be fine! [For me its a good 2nd device] For games the 7650 is still the best... but for ALL else the p800 will dominate the playground!
The 7250 is not Symbian device. It uses the crippled NOS (Nokia Operating System,i think) and series 40.So it will definitely not be second.
P800 & 6650 are the best announced phones, and the P800 is out very soon.

It's so nice that more people are getting this little precious Beast. It's a monster.

Nothing problem with my set. I got it from my ISP and till date, still serve me well. I have not patch to latest firmware and will do it when I want to. If i encounter much bugs, then i will patch it.
