Hello,
I'm looking for a BT keyboard for N80 at home. I did search the forum but didn't find any useful post .
Is the Nokia Bluetooth Keyboard SU-8W the ultimate solution? It seems a bit expensive to me :/
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/54940/ On this post Cash says he uses logitech BT keyboard with his N80. Is this a usual BT keyboard that are used with desktop PCs?
Is there any one who uses BT keyboard other than SU-8W? Can you share the brands and models?
Thank you
Serhat
i have a stowaway bt keyboard.. and still waiting them to make a driver for n80....
Does anyone know of compatibility between Nokia N80 S60.3 and the Thinkoutside Stowaway 4 row keyboard?
Thanks,

If it's a standard HCI Bluetooth device, it should work right now. You just need to run the 'Wireless Keyboard' application which is all available through the Nokia site if it is not in your 'Connectivity' folder in the menu.

I'm looking to buy a bluetooth keyboard too, but they're all so expensive.

Thanks,
I just recently checked with their support and it's still not supported. I'm puzzled about this business because I thought bluetooth was similar to USB - you plug it in and the device works. Maybe from some special features you may need to install the driver, but all I want to do is type, I don't care if I can't start some application with a programmable button, or adjust typing speed etc.
Even more disappointing is that, so far, the only keyboard that seems to be compatible with N80 is just Nokia's own keyboard, which is a bit overpriced. So, not much choice for a major brand, I find that surprising.

I emailed ThinkOutside and they emailed me the right driver. I've had the Stowaway keyboard for a long time (8m+?) - it works a treat, especially when I'm in another office for day long meetings - can come out, send all the emails I need and not need to lug the laptop around.
It isn't cheap but I had a Palm collapsible keyboard which was made by ThinkOutside for years with no trouble at all, so I see this lasting the same amount of time..

This is very encouraging. I've just visited Thinkoutside's web site and when I went to see if there's a driver for N80 for their ultraslim keyboard, it was said:
Your product is currently
Being Tested: Check back here for updates.
Who exactly did you contact there and for how long have you been using this driver?
Thanks,
Milan

I just emailed ThinkOutside's support from their website. I've found the email - here's the URL:
Driver download
The email was dated April 11th so I've been using it for 7 months.
Occaisionally, the keyboard and phone need to be re-paired but I think that has been more my impatience rather than a problem - I've not had to do this for a long time now.
You're probably not going to get 100% compatibility with every application, and some of the keys don't do what you expect (like I think one of the shortcuts to something like 'Apps' brings up the clock type thing), but I've found you get used to the one or two things that irritate and the 'proper' keys more than makes up for it.
