Like most I guess I have Real Player on my phone, an E61, are there any better players..with some sort of control functions like fast forward etc that I can use ?

You can fast forward with RealPlayer. Just move the joystich right to fast forward and left to go back.
Having tried mobile DIVx player and smartmovie, I have returned to RealPlayer. It works best for me. I have also tried several different file conversion applications, including SUPER. SUPER is certainly the most powerful, almost too much so as there are so many settings it requires fair effort just to arrive at a combination that works. For a converter I recomment Nokia Video Converter from Rock Your Mobile. There are really no settings here, you just select your phone and it knows the the right settings and it's fast (unless you really like playing with all of SUPER's settings). It's not free but only costs $12.

Which is not expensive to be honest for someones effort.

If I move my joystick in either direction it just changes the volume !
Real Player is OK but I would like to try another player...perhaps Smartmovie ?
FYI - RealPlayer uses the left and right joystick controls to adjust volume and up and down controls to fastforward and rewind.
Since RealPlayer doesn't show you accelerated images during fastforwarding and rewinding, you should keep your eye on the time marker. The longer you hold the control down, the faster it'll move.

Its been a while on this one but I lost my E61 a few weeks ago and was given another E61. However, I can't remember what video player I downloaded in the end. Real Player is OK but it annoys me that I can't just play all my video files one after another without going back and forward to my mem card any advice appreciated on a decent, preferably free but I don't mind paying really, video player with some decent functions.....
