How do I get my E61 to play wmv files?
I have Real PLayer installed.
Do I have to convert to a format Real Player recognises or is there an Installation/programme for the E61?

You have to convert. There is no WMV player.
For the formats that the E61 supports by default see http://forum.nokia.com/video (look at the S60 3rd Edition baseline + any E61 specific stuff).
After trialing quite a few I settled on Media Studio 3.5 for Nokia.
Go to www.makayama.com. Its not expensive and after trial and error on some movies works well.
Always remember to select no directors commentry or subtitles in the preview window before converting. ...if they appear on the converted file. I also use DVD Decrypter to covert movies and remove region coding etc before using Media Studio
